
Recently, Reggie Fils-Aime, the President of Nintendo North America announced a new version of the 3DS.
Titled the 3DSXL, it follows the previous pattern set by the DS XL model. The screen is 90% larger than the original model, with the top screen being 4.88 inches, and the bottem being 4.11 inches. The battery life has been stated to be longer, lasting for up 6 and a half hours.
It will be released on July 24 in Japan, retailing for ¥18,900, and will be released in North America on August 19 for $199 US RRP. It will be released in red or blue, classic Mario style; to coincide with the same day release of New Super Mario Bros 2.
